He Obliged To The Renewing Of His Mind

Black man

As he looked upon himself in the mirror, he smiled joyfully. Filled with the admiration of self and clear knowledge of what was next. He didn’t dwell on his mistakes but rather rejoiced in the fact that the faults of his past did not determine his future. He murmured a sweet song in his head “You’re too faithful to fail me”

Onlookers didn’t understand his joy. His upbringing was one of security, stability, and safety. However, his mind would play tricks on him to make him believe his reality wasn’t as it seemed. True Self v False Self in a constant fight of who will be relieved. But oh how he knew his future was one worth having the faith of a mustard seed.

So the attacks from the enemy didn’t let up. Nor did his capability to fight the trials he was being prosecuted on. As he stood on trial to listen to every negative thing about himself it moved him none. One juror watched as he smiled through the entire trial, never once worried about the verdict.

His lawyer tried to convince him to take a plea deal but he wouldn’t budge. Even after explaining to him his chances of winning were slim to none. The lawyer begged him just to take the plea. His response was “He’s too faithful to fail me now”

All rose to hear the verdict. With many palms sweating and tears running down family member’s faces. There he stood smiling. Not guilty was the verdict. They yelled, screamed, and danced with joy. As he sat back down to give thanks he looked at his lawyer and stated “I told you, he’s too faithful to fail me”

This world has a calculated way of making things look worse than what it is. Sometimes it’s not even to give you fear but to lessen your faith. You see when you have faith, trust, and belief in God you already won the war. Cause it is by his blood the poor are given wealth, the sickness that is incurable is cured, the guilty verdict becomes not guilty, and the sinner becomes righteous. Trials will come your way and some will have a guilty verdict at first. It is up to you to persevere and stay steadfast in your faith to know it can be overturned, acquitted, or even nullified.

Here Are Five Tips To Help You Renew Your Mind…

      1. Think on those things that are good…The amount of goodness in this world is remarkable. However, our vision tends to get blurred once we go through a couple of ups and downs. Do yourself a favor and shift your perspective on what is good. By allowing your thoughts to become positive, you are training your mind, body, and soul to truly believe in the good.

      2. Utilize replacement of thoughts… Statistically, our brains have about 70,000 thoughts a day. Unfortunately, more of those thoughts are negative than positive. By replacing your thoughts filled with doubt with ones filled with hope will help train your mind to change your belief system. When you constantly have thoughts swarming your mind about who you are, what you need to do, and what you aren’t, replace them with something positive or productive. If it’s something you’re passionate about write down your plan and follow through. However, if it’s a thought to distract you replace it.

      3. Purify your beliefs… Our belief system is sometimes flawed. Due to culture, upbringing, and just the circumstances that life throws at us. It’s up to us to purify it and make it new. Don’t allow your past belief system to keep you from growing into the person God has destined for you to become. You can and will accomplish everything you’ve set out for. Just believe it will be and it will be so.

      4. Physical activity… Move around! Dance, lift weights, go for a run. It’s so important for you to be physically active. Keeping your body stationary affects your mental health negatively. When you are physically active it gives you a dopamine boost. So whatever your thing may be just make sure you are being active more times than not.

      5. Faith of a mustard seed… Blindly having faith is the best advice I can give. Sometimes life be life-ing and the last thing you want to hear is have faith. However, it is honestly true. There’s never been a prayer I’ve prayed that didn’t get answered. There’s never been a trial I faced that didn’t work out for my good. There’s never been a time when having faith in God didn’t pan out for me. God do be on his own time and sometimes things take awhile and can leave you weary. Just remember he said we only need the faith of a mustard seed.

Romans 12:2 … “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
