Unfamiliar Face

You’ve seen this person a million times. You could recognize their voice a mile away. Their smile makes you feel safe. Yet they have an unfamiliar face. You’ve been at every event they’ve ever thrown and attended all of their milestones. You could outline every wrinkle on their forehead and you know all their imperfections. Yet they have an unfamiliar face. When will you recognize you’ve become unfamiliar to your own eyes. The first to demonize every little thing about you. Doubt is at the forefront of your mind and everything you once knew about yourself has become unfamiliar.

In our society, it’s easy to feel discouraged or unworthy. You have these goals you want to attain by a certain age. Yet fear and doubt come in to make you feel the possible is impossible. Despite this fear, dream big and protect that dream at all cost.

Here Are Five Tips To Help You Stay Motivated

    1. Identify Your Happiness

In identifying your happiness you’re identifying who, what, and where makes you happy. In this, surround yourself with positive people. Energy is reciprocated so only allow healthy, and happy individuals in your life. Stay true to who you are and what you want to become. Figure out what daily activities you can do to maintain your happiness. Whether that be getting dressed up, going to the gym, or even meditating. Find your happiness, keep your happiness, and be happy.

    1. Identify Your Support System

It’s easy to assume your support system is family and friends. However, that might not be the case for some. You have to identify who genuinely supports where you are, and where you’re trying to go. (EMPHASIS on “where you’re trying to go). Sometimes your inner circle won’t be your support system. If you’re someone who is looking to expand from where you currently are, you need to surround yourself with individuals who have those same goals. They DO NOT have to have the same dream as you, but they need to have the same desire, and work ethic to accomplish something bigger. To identify who supports where you are, and where you’re trying to go and allow that to be your support system.

    1. Identify Your Purpose

Don’t get your plan misconstrued with your purpose. Your plan should be a tool utilized to fulfill your purpose. Your purpose is what’s inside of you to do that will ultimately fulfill you. Get an understanding of what will center your life.

    1. Identify Yourself

Your identity will often change. But accept that change, be okay with that change, and constantly be on that journey of identity with yourself. Identify who you are, what you want to become, and follow that. Understand change will come and that change is okay.

    1. Accept Yourself

Acceptance is sometimes difficult, especially when it comes to yourself. However, to be one with yourself, you must look for acceptance within and not from others.

Don’t continue to allow your face to be unfamiliar to yourself. Know that it’s okay to “reinvent”, “re-identify”, and “revise” yourself as much as needed. That way your face becomes familiar again.
