Black Man

When I stop to stare at you I see pure beauty, no lust or greed.

The power behind your mere existence is enough to last for centuries.

The dynamics of your prowesses I cannot explain.

Black man you are something that shall not break.

Black man your are more than the sex symbol they’ve made out of you

More than the criminal they’ve bestowed upon you

More than the epitome of fear

More than the symbolism of a thug or the person behind the drugs that is spreading throughout our community

Black man you must be here because without you there would be no man

Black man you are the depiction of almost perfection

The discrepancies that come with your name you shall not let you live in shame

Create a persona that keeps your aura of magic in the air

Black man even when you do not believe in yourself

I do

When you do not love your self

I do

When you fear for your life because the way you talk or the way you walk brings fear

Just know I’ll be marching on the lines of America screaming your name to be remembered

I know your life matters

I know your value

I know your worth

I know your strength

Black man I know you are the blueprint of man made in Gods image

Black man you are HIM
